If you were to gauge Sandwich in terms of how likely it was that he would be anything more in life than a simple footnote in history, he would easily earn top marks. Nothing about Sandwich, from his run-of-the-mill friendly demeanor, to even his basic name, made him stand out amongst his peers as someone who would be anything awe-inspiring. To Sandwich, however, that's exactly who he wanted to be. To him, he didn't need to be anything more in life. He certainly didn't want anything tying him to some ancient family legacy.

Unfortunately for Sandwich, an uninteresting life just wasn't what was in store for him. Despite trying to run away from his old family, even adopting a pseudonym, his family's legacy continued to catch up with him, starting on the night his baby niece showed up on his doorstep under mysterious circumstances. Following that night, Sandwich became determined to stop running from his past, and to finally make a name for himself. After all, if he was going to be someome worth looking up to, it was going to be someone who didn't have anyone else to look up to.
